Dubbo Regional Council has recently completed treatment of Red Milfoil in the South Lakes pond, in South Lakes Dubbo. Also known as Duck Weed, this plant is an agricultural weed and can infect slow moving water courses over time.

In order to treat the weed properly and address any maintenance issues, staff drained the pond and are now refilling the pond from the Margaret Crescent bore. It is a gradual process now and we expect the pond to be full by the end of the week.
